While I
was poking around online yesterday, I found a nifty little ebook called
"Napoleon Hill's Awesome
Secret" by Will Edwards. It is
essentially a 21 page summary of much of the information found in "Think and Grow Rich." Edwards, in his discussion of the 6 steps
we've outlined, suggests adding a 7th step. He writes, "This is not to
suggest that there is anything missing from the above steps, but rather
to emphasize what I consider to be the reason why so many people in
possession of the secret never manager to generate the abundance it
promises." I would agree with him on this point, so I am adding it to
our list:Step 7: Take action and commit to staying
in motion. Every day, make sure you take at least ONE step toward your
goal.
Some days the steps may be tiny - barely
perceptible even - other days you may bake huge leaps toward your goal,
but every day make certain that you are moving forward in the direction
of your desire. If you do this repeatedly, you will not fail! Your
route to the end result may end up being quite circuitous, but you will
get there. Enjoy the path!!Download

Hill's Awesome Secret" here.

We're
down to the last step!! Here are the first 5:
Step 1: Fix in
your mind the exact
amount of money you desire.
Step 2: Determine
exactly what you are going to GIVE in return for the money you want to
obtain.
Step 3: Establish a definite date by which you intend
to have the money your desire.
Step 4: Create a definite plan
for carrying out your desire and begin AT ONCE - whether or not you are
ready to execute the plan.
Step 5: Write
out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you desire, the
date by which you will acquire it , state what you intend to give for
the money and describe clearly the plan by which you intend to
accumulate it.
Last, but certainly not least - step #6
Read
your written statement twice daily - first thing in the morning and last
thing before going to be at night. SEE, FEEL and BELIEVE yourself
already in possession of the money (or whatever it is that you want) you
desire.
Read, see, feel, and believe - the
repetition is the key!! Whatever you impress upon your mind over and
over again will begin to seep down into your subconscious and will alter
your self-image and your paradigms. This procedure will so impress
the goal on your subconscious mind as to call forth the necessary plan
and continual course correction that will propel you to your target.
When I came to this step I
went out to OfficeMax and bought an inexpensive digital recorder and
actually recorded my statement, along with some affirmations that I
particularly like. I keep the recorder by my bed and I listen to my
statement every morning and every night and I really can FEEL the
difference. It's a fabulous way to start and end each day!
Monday, June 28, 2010Here are a recap of the first 4 steps to
attracting the amount of money you desire into your life that we
covered last week:
Step 1: Fix in your mind the exact
amount of money you desire.
Okay, here is step #5
Write
out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you desire, the
date by which you will acquire it , state what you intend to give for
the money and describe clearly the plan by which you intend to
accumulate it.
This is a regrouping step - a step that
allows for repetition of what has come before, and repetition is the KEY
to learning! By repeating things over and over again it solidifies the
material in your mind and then things begin to seep down into your
subconscious - and that's when true change in your paradigms begins.

Here are the first 3 steps to attracting
the amount of money you desire into your life:
Step 1: Fix in your mind the exact
amount of money you desire.
Step 2: Determine exactly what
you are going to GIVE in return for the money you want to obtain.
Step 3: Establish a definite date
by which you intend to have the money your desire.
And
- wait for it - here's step #4:
Create a definite plan for carrying out
your desire and begin AT ONCE - whether or not you are ready to execute
the plan.
The difference between people who make
plans and people who achieve goals is the ability to move into action.
Do what you CAN do NOW!! You have to put energy out if
you want the universe to give back to you. Create your plan and get
started now. Ask youself, "What can I do TODAY that is
going to carry me in the direction of my desire.

Okay, we've covered the first 2 steps to
attracting the amount of money you desire into your life:
Step 1: Fix in your
mind the exact amount of money you desire.
Step 2: Determine
exactly what you are going to GIVE in return for the money you want to
obtain.
Here's step #3:
Establish a definite date
by which you intend to have the money you desire.
Parkinson's
Law states that work expands to fill the time allotted for it. When we
set a goal we need to put a time frame around when we will achieve it,
but know that it is only an educate guess. Don't give yourself too long
a time. When you set a deadline that pushes you, you become more
focused on achieving it. The more you focus your thoughts on something
the greater the amplitude of vibration, which gives it more energy. The
only thing that can grow is that which we give energy to.

Yesterday's action step for attracting
that which you desire (in our example we're using money) was to fix in
your mind the exact amount of money you want. Remember, in order for
your subconscious mind to begin to move you into a frequency of
vibration that will ultimately attract the opportunities, people, ideas,
etc. which will enable you to reach your goal, you MUST be specific!
Action
Step #2 is:
Determine
exactly what you are going to GIVE in return for the money you want to
obtain.
You have to give
something in order to get something - even if that just means making
space for the item you desire. There is no free lunch and nature abhors
a vacuum.

In
Think and Grow Rich Napoleon Hill lays out six practical actions
steps that will, when followed, move you from a place of merely wishing
for something you want to actually having it. Here's the first step
(and it's written in terms of money, but understand it will work for
anything you desire - a material possession, a wonderful relationship,
spiritual awareness and, yes, MONEY!):
Fix in your mind
the exact amount of money you desire.
It is not
sufficient to just say "I want more money" because your subconscious
mind does not deal in generalities - it needs specifics. If I sit here
and say to myself over and over again that I want more money and then I
walk out into the parking lot and find a penny on the ground - BINGO -
more money, I'm done! Here's exercise that we have our Mastermind group
participants engage in - I'm going to ask you to really think about the
life that you would like to have - your dream life. If money, people,
circumstances, etc. were of no consideration whatsoever... What car
would you drive? What would your dream home look like? What kind of
vacations would you take? What would your hobbies be? How would you
furnish your dream home? Build this big, beautiful picture of what your
ideal life would look like and then take some time to figure out how
much money you would need to live it. THAT is what we're talking about -
an exact figure. Write it on a card, carry it in your pocket - make it
tangible in some way so it triggers you to THINK about that exact
amount of money over and over throughout your day. You don't have to
know where the money is going to come from - in fact, don't give that
any consideration at all at this point. Just figure out how much you
need to live the life of your dreams and cement it in your mind. Come
back tomorrow for step #2!!!

Almost
50 years ago, world reknowned personal development "guru," Bob
Proctor, picked up the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
and unknowingly began a journey that would change the course of his life
and the lives of millions of others. Why did Napoleon Hill write this
book and what is so powerful about it? In 1908, Hill was a young
newspaper reporter who was conducting interviews for a series of
articles on famous and successful men in America. One of the men he
interviewed was Andrew Carnegie, who was the richest man in the world at
that time. Hill learned that Carnegie believed that the process of
success could be outlined in a simple formula that anyone could
understand and achieve. The two men hit it off well and Carnegie
challenged Hill to the task of gathering and analyzing the information
necessary to discover and publish this formula for success. Carnegie
introduced Hill to 500 of the most famous and powerful people of the
time. The result of this nearly 20 year process is the book Think
and Grow Rich which was published in 1937. In the book, Hill
studies the characteristics of achievers and develops "laws" of success,
intended to be applied by anyone. Over the next 6 days, we'll explore
Hill's 6 Laws of Success that can be used to attract whatever you desire
into your life.
